GALLERY SUPPORT ASSISTANT IN ZAGREB CROATIA

REQUIREMENTS: -Studies in Art History or Art Management
-Excellent knowledge of English (spoken and written)
-Good knowledge of MS Office (especially Word, PowerPoint)
-Good knowledge of Adobe (including Photoshop)
-Organizational skills, motivation, reliability, and creativity
-Availability to work in a group
-Availability to work in flexible hours during special events or times of increased work intensity, availability to do physical work (installation of exhibitions, handling artworks)
RECOMMENDATIONS: The Intern will work alongside the Gallery Manager and the Gallery Assistant in different exhibition activities and organizational processes. The internship position gives insight into the interesting activity of a gallery/publisher as well as into its relation to other cultural institutions in the city. Apart from learning about Croatian and European art, the intern will become an active part of the gallery collective.

The ideal candidate is either a student of Art History or Fine Arts, with a great passion for art, especially modern and contemporary architecture.
TASKS:
  • Writing for web pages and blogs, and potentially also for social media, e-books, slogans, and video script
  • Think creatively and use imagination to produce new ideas
  • Plan and organise logistics related to events, buildings, performers or artists and other personnel
  • Support the development of new projects and initiatives with arts professionals and stakeholders
  • Help ensuring the smooth running of the gallery
  • Help maintaining ongoing promotion and advertising of the gallery
  • Assist in co-ordinating social networking campaign/strategy
  • Help organising events such as conferences, seminars, receptions and exhibitions
  • Assist staff in collecting and preparing data for various planning projects
  • Work with corporative tools (CRM, e-mail, phone, social media)
WORKING HOURS: 20 hours per week
