Erasmus for Young Entrepreneurs is an exchange programme for entrepreneurs, financed by the European Union. It offers the opportunity for entrepreneurs to work alongside an experienced entrepreneur in another country and strengthen the skills needed to develop their business.
About
The programme aims at helping new entrepreneurs to acquire relevant skills for managing a small or medium-sized enterprise by spending time in an enterprise in another country. It contributes to improving their know-how and fosters cross-border transfers of knowledge and experience between entrepreneurs.
Participants
You can participate as a new entrepreneur if you are planning to start a business based on a viable business plan, or you have started your own business within the last 3 years. Your (future) company can be in any sector and there is no age limit.
Host entrepreneurs are experienced owners or managers of a micro or small enterprise. New entrepreneurs must be permanent residents in one of the participating countries and must be able and willing to raise additional funds to cover the costs of the stay that exceed the EU grant.
Duration
1 – 6 months, with the possibility to divide the stay into slots of a minimum of 1 week spread over a maximum of 12 months.
Funding
Maximum amount per month while staying in the host country (€, monthly reimbursement including travel). Reference figures — check the official programme website for the current call.
